Rosmini College presents... Stories in the Dark

A terrified 12-year-old boy, Tomas, finds himself separated from his family in the unfamiliar streets of a war-torn city. He takes refuge in a bombed-out house, and in the total blackness his bravado crumbles.

Ant steps into his life, older and street smart. As a way of calming Tomas, he starts to tell him a story that he vaguely remembers from his own childhood. So begins a journey into the shifting, shimmering world of ogres, princes, singing bones, foolish lads and wolf-mothers.

The play explores the power of storytelling, mingling the magic and earthy wisdom of folk tales with the hard-edged story of violence, conflict and the struggle to survive.

Tuesday 29 April - Thursday 1 May

Tickets $10 each

Runtime: 60min, no interval

Suitable for ages 12+

Homestay Families Needed

Have you thought about hosting an international student?

Rosmini College is currently looking for local homestay families for international high school students, from one term to longer periods.
Our homestays provide students guidance, their own room, all meals and snacks, and integrate them into their homes. Homestays are rewarded with a fun and enriching experience of learning about a new culture and forming lasting global friendships. And, our homestays are remunerated for every student in their care.

If you think you could be a homestay for a Rosmini student, please email international@rosmini.school.nz
 for further information.

We aim to produce young men ready to leave school who are able to make a positive contribution to society and are empowered to serve others by living out the maxims of the college's founder, Antonio Rosmini - to be young men of dignity, integrity, fairness, charity and justice.
