  • By Week 2 of Term 2, final sponsorship money came in for the Caritas Challenge Day. The forty-five students who participated raised a total of $2,104 for Cambodia. A great result!
  • Years 10 & 9 had their Reconciliation liturgies on the 11th May and 8th June. Both services went very well with 8 – 10 priests from the local deanery officiating.
  • Catholic Character and Young Vinnies students helped distribute information for Loren O’Sullivan (sister of Old Boy Jarrod O’Sullivan), who is the Director of NPH New Zealand. NPH is an acronym for Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, meaning Our Little Brothers and Sisters, in Spanish. Loren became involved in this organization when she spent two years as a volunteer at one of their orphanages in Honduras.  Loren spoke about NPH at the Saturday and Sunday Masses recently in the Takapuna and Mairangi Bay parishes. After each of these masses, two senior students helped distribute material for Loren in the hope of gaining sponsors for the orphans in Honduras. Loren was very pleased with the help our students gave her and with the large number of people willing to become sponsors.
  • Chef for Compassion (Year 7’s) were invited by Cancer Society – Domain Lodge to plan and prepare a dinner for 40 guests. This was held on the 2 June. The students spent the day preparing, cooking and planning their event. The evening went off very well, the guests were so amazed at what a bunch of year 7 boys can do. Many were so touched by the evening. The students acted very maturely as they were faced with some patients facing difficult situations.

Devotion to Mary
We are devoted to Mary, the Mother of God, and see the saints as true examples of holiness and faith. We pray through Mary and the saints and ask them to intercede for us.
