The Rosmini Colts 2 team, who played under the Takapuna District Cricket Club banner in the Auckland Cricket Association Premiere Club Two Day Competition, have emerged as the champions for the 2016 post Xmas tournament. Their achievement was acknowledged at the ACA Prize-giving held at Eden Park, and they were awarded the Ken Deas Cup. Their achievements were also recognised at the Takapuna Cricket Club prize-giving. The team consisted of Sam Gordon, Indu Narahenpitage, Finn Wilson, Oscar Robertson, Harrison Gobbie, Fergus Lee, Sam Charleton-Maunder, Timothy Carter, Isaac Miller, Joshua Paul, Sam Davies and Liam Mackinnon.
Congratulations to Rosmini College Year 8 student, Keano Kini (12) of Glenfield, who won his age group (Grade 11 boys) Auckland Athlete of the Year at the Auckland Athletics Prize-giving 2015 – 2016. He was also nominated as Sportsperson of the Year for boys ages 10 to 14.
Rosmini College Old Boy, Adam Mitchell (2008 – 2014) of West Harbour has just signed a three-year contract with the famous Serbian Football Club, Red Star Belgrade. Adam was one of the key players in the New Zealand Under 20 Football team. The centre back also played for the Junior All Whites in last year’s FIFA U20 World Cup. Congratulations Adam!
Congratulations to Rosmini College Year 11 student, Braedyn Collins (15) of Glenfield who made the NZ Hawks AFL Academy Team for 2016 as a first year player. Braedyn then went on to star as the dominant ruck man and he won the top award of Best Player in a two day ANZAC Test.
The 2016 Secondary Schools 3x3 National Basketball Junior Boys’ Final was played on Saturday, 10th April at Waitakere’s Trust Stadium. The Final featured Rosmini College and Wellington’s Rongotai College after Rosmini beat Wanganui Boys High School 11-6 and Rongotai beat Rangitoto College Blue 21-9. 3x3 Basketball is played on a half-court, with one basket.Read more ...
