Misook Rylev

International Student Director

As the International Student Director at Rosmini College, I am responsible for the recruitment strategy, ensuring the successful enrollment and integration of international students. I oversee the daily operations of the International Department, providing students with the support and guidance they need to excel academically and adjust to life at Rosmini College.

I lead the marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts to raise Rosmini College's profile in key international markets, working to attract students from around the globe. I spend time traveling to key recruitment markets and working alongside agents and partners to diversify our international student enrolment and strengthen relationships with our partners.

Having been an international student myself when I came to New Zealand in 2001, I have a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges that international students face. This experience shapes my approach to supporting our students, ensuring they feel welcomed, guided, and empowered to succeed academically and personally.

I have an extensive background in international education and marketing at the government level, with experience working in both secondary and tertiary sectors. I have travelled to over 20 countries and have lived in China, which has further enriched my understanding of the international education landscape.

Contact Misook for recruitment strategy, student enrollment, international student integration, partnerships, and international student recruitment efforts.

Sara Prendergast

International Student Coordinator

I am responsible for coordinating all aspects of international student life at Rosmini, including home stay arrangements, a point of contact for our international students, and facilitating smooth transitions for students from diverse backgrounds.

As a parent of one son currently at Rosmini College and another who has graduated, I have a personal investment in the school's success, and have enjoyed coaching and managing various sports teams, including rugby, basketball, touch rugby, and water polo over the past seven years.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management, qualifications that complement my role by providing a strong foundation in both educational theory and practical management skills. My previous work in the sports industry has afforded me the opportunity to interact with people from many different cultures, further enriching my ability to support the diverse student body at Rosmini College.

We get to know our students really well, and they often come to the EAL teachers for advice and guidance with many different aspects of life in New Zealand. We encourage our students to be well rounded young men who make the most of their opportunities whilst studying at Rosmini College.
