North Harbour Touch Zone Day
Two Rosmini teams from year 7 and 8 competed at the North Harbour Touch Zone Day on 1 November.
Our year 7 Titans lost only one game in the round robin, playing against schools such as Wentworth, Kingsway, Northcote, Albany, Belmont, Whangaparaoa and Murray’s Bay.
Although the boys were tired coming into the end of the day they persevered and gave their best when playing Murray’s Bay for 3/4th. Through no lack of determination, the boys ended up losing and secured the 4th position.
Our year 8 team had a fantastic day, winning 4 out of 6 games and finishing 5th. We took wins over Orewa, Mahurangi, Birkdale and Albany Junior, but struggled against the experience of Northcross and Murrays Bay, both stacked with Harbour rep players.
Our boys – many of whom are still new to the game of touch – worked hard all day, improving their touch skill set and showing the potential they possess to become great touchies. With the regular season only just begun, we look forward to seeing what more this team can achieve. Thank you for representing Rosmini with dignity and honour!
A huge thank you to our coaches Sara Prendergast and Kenneth Tohovaka, as well as our parents and whãnau who came to show support.
