Karate medals for Rosmini brothers
Kenrich Shek (Year 8) and Kenneth Shek (Year 7) achieved great success in the recent New Zealand Karate Cup - Premier Tournament, a national karate event hosted at Auckland Netball Center that sees 18 clubs from all over Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and Christchurch compete.
After an intense day of competition Kenrich received two bronze medals - the individual 12/13 male kata and 12/13 male kumite +45kg. He also received a gold from team kata and bronze from team kumite. He will fly to Sydney in May to complete at the Australia Karate Open 2023.
Kenneth received a bronze - individual 10/11 male kata, silver 10/11 male kumite +34kg, and a gold from team kumite. This was the first premier tournament Kenneth was part of, against very experienced competitors in tough matches.
