AIMS Hockey report

AIMS Hockey report

The Rosmini hockey team had a successful representation of their school at the recent AIMS tournament in Tauranga.

They secured a great win in their first game versus Mt Maunganui with a score of 7-0. However, narrowly lost versus Francis Douglas 2-1.

The team faced tough competitions against St Peter's Cambridge and Te Kura Kaupapa O Ruamata. They had some impressive victories against Mahurangi (3-2) and their arch rivals, Murrays Bay (4-3). The game versus Murray Bay was the last game of the tournament and it was great to end the tournament with a grand win.

Despite being in a tough pool, the team worked well together and displayed great sportsmanship demonstrating true Rosminian values. They played exceptionally well together during the tournament. and their team effort was commendable, which likely contributed to their success. They developed some great friendships over the time at AIMS that would last long after the tournament ends.

Our coach, Josh Bowden, played a significant role in guiding and teaching the team some valuable skills both on and off the turf.

Well done boys!
