Leaver's Day 2023
The Class of 2023 ended their journey at Rosmini College with their Leaver’s Day celebrations on Thursday 2 November.
The day started early with Leaver's Breakfast, where the boys had a chance to reflect on their time at the school and the memories made together. Old Boy Matt Lacey was a guest speaker.
After the blessing of the handmade wooden crosses, which were handed out to the boys, Leaver's Mass began, celebrated by Father David Tonks. Thank you to the alter servers who worked hard to perfect their duties for the occasion.
As the Mass concluded, the boys sang the Rosmini Anthem one last time with gusto!
To kick off the more informal celebration the boys watch the Leaver's video, a very funny compilation of pictures and videos of the year group from the past seven years. They then signed each other’s shirts, before heading to the top field where other year groups performed a farewell Haka.
This year the boys also led another very special Haka for Mr Owen Hughes, our beloved Guidance Counsellor who is unwell and left the school earlier this year.
As Leaver’s Day drew to a close the Year 13s walked down the drive together, followed by their families, and singing as a year group. The boys bid each other an emotional farewell, and said goodbye to their time at Rosmini.
We wish the Class of 2023 all the best for their future and look forward to hearing about all of their achievements. Keep in touch boys!
