Art students visit sculpture exhibit
On Friday our Year 9 art students travelled to Devonport to check out the NZ Sculpture OnShore exhibit.
Held every two years on the stunning clifftop location of Operetu Fort Takapuna, NZ Sculpture OnShore is New Zealand's largest outdoor sculpture exhibition featuring works from over 100 established and emerging artists nationwide, and provides a unique snapshot of contemporary sculpture practice in New Zealand. This includes monumental stand-alone sculptures, domestic and small-scale works, ephemeral projects, light and sound art works and many site-specific installations.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine and experiencing the world of sculpture!
