Outdoor fun for students at MERC
A group of 20 Year 7, 8 and 9 students were nominated to participate in a fun day out at Long Bay's Sir Peter Blake's Marine Education Recreation Centre (MERC).
The day consisted of three activities - a water-based activity on a Giant SUP, a height activity navigating up a Giant Ladder with the support of student anchors, and a survival activity pitching a tent blindfolded, as well as other useful practical survival skills and understanding.
It was a great day to have some fun in the outdoors, overcome some fears, develop teamwork and build new friendships.
