AIMS 2024 wrap-up
We wish to say “Thank You” to the Rosmini teachers, sports coordinators, coaches, managers, parents and players, who went to AIMS 2024 - it was a week of rewarding experiences for all involved!
Rosmini College is proud of all teams and individuals in their final results. Special mention must be made of the tennis doubles who received gold in their competition. Sam James (Year 7) and William McIntrye (Year 8) supported each other to outplay their higher ranked opposition. Lukas Gabour (Year 8) bravely competed in ocean kayaking and received a gold in the mixed relay. Josh Johansen (Year 7) was 3rd place in the cross country, which showed Josh’s high fitness level and versatility as an athlete, as he was also competing for the football team. We were also happy to watch the waterpolo team claim 3rd place in their competition.
Many boys spoke of the enjoyment of supporting other teams. Boys lost their voices shouting support and singing school chants. The boys spoke of their surprise regarding the challenge of playing much bigger students, as big as adults…with mustaches!
Win or lose, the College is extremely grateful for the skilled and positive leadership from coaches, managers and parents. Collectively we are proud and thankful for all of the hard work that was put in by our school community to get the boys to experience an event that helps them to grow as fine young men. 2024 results are especially impressive and we will try to better them in 2025!
