Young Vinnies help at Race4Life event
A group of eight Young Vinnies travelled down with Mr Keeling and his wife Christine to the Race4Life Trust track day at Hampton Downs on Tuesday 24 September.
They assisted with the setting up of the dining hall for a group of 96 palliative care patients and their whanau. The boys then acted as waiters for morning tea and lunch before assisting in cleaning up.
The patients and their caregivers are treated to car, motorbike, truck, helicopter, police car and fire engine rides.
At the end of the day the boys are rewarded with hot laps in some of the race cars. This has now become a yearly event for Rosmini and is a great chance for the senior students to serve the community.
