Pasifika Celebration & Awards 2024
On Thursday 24 October the Rosmini Pasifika community gather together at the Pasifika End of Year Celebration and Awards Evening, hosted by the Rosmini Pasifika Parents Komiti and our Pasifika Student Leader of 2024 Patai Tearii, on behalf of the school.
With the auditorium beautifully decorated with colourful tapa and artwork, it was a wonderful opportunity celebrate the efforts and achievements of our boys across all years, and to farewell our Year 13s. The celebration highlighted the academic, sports, music, arts and Rosmini character accomplishments and successes of students following Pasifika cultural customs and practices.
Guests heard from inspiring Old Boys who shared their experience growing up as a Pasifika student at Rosmini, and the journey they have been on after school. Following a sumptuous buffet meal, a group of Year 13 students performed a traditional dance, we farewelled our departing students, and awards were handed out. Congratulations to the main prize winners:
- Pereira-Stewart Cup for leadership - Parai Tearii
- Selani Poe Cup for service in the community - Lepo Sialetonga
- Art Fusion Cup for achievement in the arts - Patrick Lemeki
- Rudi Wulf Cup for most promising Pasifika sportsman - Anton Seuseu & Inoke Vaingalo
- Dr Laupepa Va'a Award for academic endeavour across the curriculum - Mason Stweart & Natana Pokura
