Second International TOTCUS Symposium at Rosmini
Four hours is a long time to maintain students' attention, but we managed it. Twenty-six presentations, each approximately 7-10 minutes in length were shared in collaboration with our international TOTCUS partner schools.
It was a challenging start when bandwidth in Chile was lost (the location from which the presentations are shared) and several groups went over time, however we pulled through, thanks to the students using their initiative and we ended up on that fourth hour.
After the video was closed, converted GOLD TOTCUS badges were presented to Jack Hollewand, Noah Simunac, Yilin Lin and Nicolas Torres. Former TOTCUS leader (2023) and now at university, Nikko Snell was also a recipient of the leaders badge.
It is so pleasing to see groups that consist of intermediate students working and presenting alongside older students, for example a Year 7 working with a Year 13 student. This is one of the unique aspects of the TOTCUS programme that makes it appealing to other schools. New schools are joining the project next year. Rosmini students interested in joining should contact Mr. Wood.
