Rosmini Old Boys Association
Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate

Welcome to the Old Boys’ hub. Our goal is to increase the database and get in contact with as many old boys as possible. We are especially keen to get a broad cross-section across the six decades of Rosmini’s existence.

We hope to reconnect with other old boys and organise reunions with associated activities. The facilities at the college would be made available to host functions and/or sporting fixtures. We really hope that once well-established there will be a regular programme of events throughout the year as different year groups get together.

The college celebrated its 60th Jubilee in 2022 and the expansion of the database is an important first step in ensuring that jubilee events planned for the future are a success.

The best way to stay connected is to register with the Old Boys Association below. This will allow us to re-connect with you through quarterly newsletters as well as get in touch with you should we have any events or news that would be of interest to you - for example a reunion for your year group!

You can also stay connected on both Facebook.

Career adventures of Rosmini Old Boy

Rosmini College celebrates it's 60th Jubilee

Over the weekend of 31 March-1 April 2023 Rosmini College celebrated 60 years of brotherhood with fun events for all ages.

A ‘beers and bites’ function on the Friday night attracted over 130 Old Boys from around New Zealand and Australia, with several of the original “class of 1962” reconnecting for the first time in decades. Memorabilia was on display, including 1st XV rugby photos from the sixties and seventies, as well as an original rugby ball from that era.

On Saturday 1 April celebrations continued at the school. The day began with a karakia and mass, before the school opened its doors and displayed various talents and passions. Current students proudly showed Old Boys and families around the school with personal tours; there was live music throughout the afternoon in the courtyard, as well as Old Boys versus current student sports matches. The science department let off rockets, and the Food Technology department hosted a MasterChef competition as well as sharing their barista skills in the school café.

Rosmini Old Boy selected as new 1st XV rugby coach for 2023

Rosmini College is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Mayhew as head coach for our 1st XV rugby squad for the upcoming season.

Head boy of Rosmini in 2003, Richard has enjoyed rugby success in NZ and abroad. He was part of Rosmini's championship winning 2001 team, and the 2003 ‘Invincibles’ team that won the North Harbour Competition after an undefeated season.

Tom Gerrard Memorial 2022

On Saturday 15 October a Memorial Mass followed by drinks and dinner was held at the Auditorium in memory of Tom Gerrard.

Tom Gerrard was Headmaster of Rosmini College from 1975 to 2014. Tom sadly passed away in August 2020 during lockdown, and only 10 people were permitted at his funeral.

It was wonderful to see 220 people present to remember Tom.
